Identify Symbicort clinical trials in children
Identify number of clinical trials in children by age groups up to age 4.
Identify clinical trials proposed/submitted/reviewed at the FDA.
Outcomes
RIA identified majority of symbicort clinical trials (40 randomized, completed and inteventional) conducted in children.
RIA helped identify clinical trials in children submitted to FDA in initial filing.
There were no trials in children younger than 6 years of age.
RIA also Identified that the sponsor received a waiver for pediatric studies under age of 6 years which explains the reason for the lack of major evidence in children less than 6 years of age.
